Mitch Epstein is a documentary photographer working most of the second half of the 20th Century and is still working till this day.

I was fortunate enough to have Jeff as a professor in color technique. His documentary style is very contemporary and he does a very good job at getting the point across to viewers about what the topic is that is being documented.

Ansel Adams is on everyones photographers list I'm sure. He is an icon though, no doubt. I look up to him for his innovation in getting the image he wanted.

22. Bruce Davidson

Bruce Davidson was a 20th Century documentary photographer. He shot a lot in the 50s and 60s capturing the lives of the reckless youth as well as the segregation and desegregation of the South.

21. Emmanuelle Brisson

Emmanuelle Brisson is a beautiful portrait photographer from France who I found online. Her self-portrait work really opened my eyes to some new ideas.
